The Hacker
A Hacker enjoys to use things in ways they were not designed to be used, and not limited to computer systems. They have playfulness and curiosity at heart, and a certain disdain for authority. In a way, repurposing a program or object, is a small act of disobedience.
Most hackers are young because young people tend to be adaptable. As long as you remain adaptable, you can always be a good hacker — Emmanuel Goldstein
Skills
Curiosity
A Hacker is curious about pretty much everything. Curiosity drives them.
Technical Skills
With so much tinkering, and sometimes disregarding the utility of it, hackers can amass a very deep knowledge of a topic — for instance, Electronics, Physics, Programming, 3d, or Economics. Their drive is curiosity, but their focus and playful exploration can result in incredible technical skills.
Curiosity is insubordination in its purest form — Vladimir Nabokov
